About me

I’m Natasha Ivanco

I live in attics sometimes.

I was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. After being trained in secret for secret things, I now live in Calgary, Alberta.

I have been photographing in near infrared since 2011. It is my preferred medium because it helps me see hidden things while I hide from things and sometimes, when I produce an image that looks akin to somebody’s fever dream, it comforting when I can say, “I knew I’ve seen that somewhere before.”

Equipment: Modified IR cameras (Olympus, Canon). IR lenses 720 – 960 nm and some other stuff like tripods, jaunty hats, and Lightroom.

Education: York University, MFA; Alberta College of Art and Design, BFA.
